Introduction

Sampling was carried out at three points, namely the Sunggal Water Treatment Plant (IPA) and the well in the Simalingkar Booster, for three months, from March to May 2009. The SSA VGHA technique was used to analyze the US concentration in the drinking water samples, while the conventional SSA method was used as a control.

Results

The results of this study showed a significant increase in the absorption results using the SSA VGHA technique compared to the conventional SSA method. The US concentration in the Sunggal Natural Sciences was detected at 8,8018 PPB, 9,3429 PPB, and 9,0337 PPB alternately, while in the well in the Simalingkar Booster detected 8,8459 PPB, 8,9895 PPB, and 8,5699 PPB. This increase reached 10,429.8 times compared to the SSA Method.

Discussion

The results of this study show that the SSA VGHA technique is very effective in US analysis of drinking water. The US concentration detected in both water storage locations meets the standards set in the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 907/Menkes/VII/2002, which sets US safe limits in drinking water. The SSA VGHA technique offers several advantages in US analysis of drinking water, including high sensitivity, accuracy, and precision.
