However, being a successful leader is not easy, and the process of determining values, styles, and all activities related to leadership is a long journey to success. Previous research shows that employee morale is strongly influenced by leadership, and when the leader is present at the workplace, all employees will work with high enthusiasm. Conversely, if the leader does not exist, employees tend not to work seriously.

In this study, we aim to analyze the effect of leadership style on employee morale in PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. The results showed that the style of autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire leadership styles simultaneously affect employee morale. In addition, autocratic leadership style has a significant influence on employee morale at PDAM Tirtanadi Medan. In other words, autocratic leadership style dominates the influence on employee morale.
