The Influence of the Work Environment, Learning Agility, and Work-Life Balance on the Performance of the North Sumatra Bank Employees of the Medan Coordinator Branch

Introduction

In today's fast-paced and competitive business environment, organizations are constantly seeking ways to improve employee performance and productivity. The North Sumatra Bank, a leading financial institution in Indonesia, is no exception. The Medan Coordinator Branch of the bank has been facing challenges in achieving its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with some employees recording performance achievements in the category of "quite good" and lacking, while only 7 percent of employees have reached an excellent KPI category. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of the work environment, learning agility, and work-life balance on the performance of the North Sumatra Bank employees of the Medan Coordinator Branch.

Methodology

This study involved 60 employees as a population and used saturated sampling techniques, where the entire population was taken as a sample. Research data were collected through interviews, distributing questionnaires as primary data, and documentation studies to collect secondary data. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis.

Results

The results showed that the work environment, learning agility, and work-life balance variables partially had a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Of the three variables, learning agility is the most dominant variable affecting employee performance, followed by work-life balance and work environment. Meanwhile, the simultaneous test shows that the three variables together have a positive and significant influence on employee performance.
