Many factors can contribute to the formation of work ethics, including the relationship between employees (human relations) and the physical and situational conditions of the work environment. In the context of the Office of Investment and Licensing one-stop licensing of North Sumatra Province, relations between people and the work environment play an important role that needs to be explored further.

Background

The Office of Investment and Licensing one-stop licensing of North Sumatra Province is a government agency responsible for facilitating business and investment activities in the province. The agency's performance is heavily dependent on the work ethic of its employees, who are responsible for processing licenses, permits, and other business-related documents. However, the agency has faced challenges in maintaining a high work ethic among its employees, which has impacted its overall performance.

Methodology

This study uses causal associative methods that combine observations and questionnaires to collect data. Through this approach, researchers aim to describe and analyze facts related to the influence of human relations and organizational culture on ethical behavior in the payroll system. The population that is targeted by this research consists of all employees at the Department of Investment and One-Stop Licensing, with a total of 42 people. The sampling method used is total sampling, so that all members of the population are included in the study.

Data Analysis

The results showed that there was a significant influence between human relations and working conditions on the employee's work ethic. This can be seen from the value of F-count of 37,673 which is greater than F-table which is worth 2.61, as well as a significance value (Sig-P) of 0.000 smaller than 0.05. This indicates that the better the relationship between employees and the better the working conditions, the higher the work ethic shown by the employees.

Discussion

Further analysis reveals that positive human relations contribute to the creation of a conducive work environment. When employees feel valued and supported by their colleagues and superiors, work motivation increases. In addition, the physical condition of a good work environment, such as adequate facilities and workplace comfort, also plays a major role in forming a high work ethic. Employees who work in a supportive environment tend to be more productive and have a high commitment to their duties and responsibilities.

Implications

Therefore, it is suggested to the Office of Investment and Licensing One Roof of North Sumatra Province to pay more attention to aspects of human relations and create better working conditions. This will not only increase employee work ethic, but can also contribute to improving overall organizational performance. With greater attention to human relations and working conditions, this agency can achieve more effective and efficient strategic goals.

Conclusion

In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of human relations and working conditions in shaping employee work ethic in the Office of Investment and Licensing one-stop licensing of North Sumatra Province. The findings of this study suggest that positive human relations and good working conditions are essential in creating a conducive work environment that fosters high work ethic among employees. Therefore, it is recommended that the agency prioritizes human relations and working conditions to improve its overall performance and achieve its strategic goals.
