Introduction

Affordability of Antenatal Care Services (ANC) is an essential factor in improving the health of the mother and baby. In Tebing Tinggi City, Rantau Laban Health Center faces challenges in achieving the target of the scope of ANC visits. This research aims to map the distribution of pregnant women who make ANC visits in the working area of the Rantau Laban Health Center in 2018. The study focuses on understanding the factors that influence access to ANC services and developing strategies to improve the quality of services and trust of pregnant women.

Methodology

This research uses a descriptive quantitative method with cross-sectional design. The data used includes primary data in the form of coordinate points and interview results, as well as secondary data in the form of a map of the Rantau Laban Puskesmas working area map. Data analysis was carried out using the Q-GIS mapping application. The research aims to identify the distribution of pregnant women who make ANC visits in the working area of the Rantau Laban Health Center and understand the factors that influence access to ANC services.

Results

The results showed that administratively, all pregnant women were within a radius close to the Rantau Laban Health Center. This indicates that the distance factor is not the main obstacle in accessing ANC services at the Puskesmas. However, this research also found several other reasons that caused pregnant women not to make ANC visits at the Rantau Laban Health Center. Further analysis of the reasons for pregnant women to choose other health facilities is needed to formulate the right strategy.
