This study aims to evaluate the relationship between blood glucose control and diabetic nephropathy events in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, using hemoglobin levels of giant (HBA1C) as an indicator of glucose control. The study also aims to see the old relationships suffering from diabetes with diabetic nephropathy conditions. Measurement of HBA1C levels is a standard method for assessing long-term blood sugar control in diabetes patients.

Statistical analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between diabetes control and diabetic nephropathy, with a value of P = 0.001. This indicates that the more uncontrolled blood glucose levels, the greater the risk of experiencing diabetic nephropathy. Odds ratio of 8,357 shows that patients with uncontrolled diabetes have a risk of increasing levels of 8.4 times compared to those who are controlled.

However, no significant relationship was found between the length of diabetes with diabetes and diabetic nephropathy events, with the value of P = 0.681. This shows that even though suffering from diabetes has the potential to contribute to the development of nephropathy, the blood glucose control factor is more influential on that risk.

From the results of this study, it can be concluded that good blood sugar control is very important in preventing the development of diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Therefore, good diabetes management must be the main focus to maintain the health of organs and the quality of life of diabetes patients.
