Multiple linear regression analysis was employed to test the joint effect of independent variables (scouting services, loading and unloading productivity, the level of loading and unloading equipment, and wasted time due to bad weather) on the dependent variable (waiting time for container vessels). The F test results showed that together the independent variables have a significant effect on the waiting time of the container ship, with a significant value of F of 0,000. This means that the research hypothesis is accepted.

Results

Further analysis revealed that the loading and unloading productivity variable has the most dominant influence on the ship's waiting time. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.427 shows that 42.70% of the ship's waiting time can be explained by the variables studied, while the remaining (57.30%) is influenced by other factors that are not analyzed in this study.

Conclusion

The results of this study indicate that Loading Unloading Productivity is a dominant factor that affects the waiting time for container vessels at Belawan Harbor. In addition, factors such as Moching services, the level of loading and unloading equipment readiness, and the time was wasted due to bad weather also jointly contributed to the ship's waiting time.
