Introduction

After the treatment, the sample is split in a bucc -collision and analyzed using an atomic absorption spectrometer to measure the loss of calcium ions. The results showed that groups using 2.5% NaOCl followed by EDTA could not be done statistical tests because the results could not be read. However, the Mann Whitney test showed that there was no significant difference in the effectiveness of loss of calcium ions between 50% cocoa pulp juice with 2.5% NaOCl. From the results of this study, it is known that the combination of 2.5% NaOCl followed by 50% cocoa pulp juice causes the highest loss of calcium ions.

Discussion

The results of this study show that 50% cocoa pulp juice has the potential to be developed as an irrigation material for dental root channels, because it provides a lower loss of calcium ions compared to conventional irrigation methods that use NaOCl and EDTA. This study shows that natural ingredients such as cocoa pulp are not only beneficial in terms of dental health, but also as a safer alternative in dentistry practices, encouraging further research to explore the potential of other natural ingredients in dental treatment.
