In the midst of the rise of oil palm plantations in North Sumatra, this study aims to build a model of estimating carbon reserves in PT. Putri Hijau, Langkat, especially in 5-year-old plants. The importance of this research lies in the fact that palm oil plantations can play a significant role in mitigating climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Background

Palm oil is one of the most widely produced and consumed edible oils in the world. It is a major source of income for many countries, particularly in Southeast Asia.
