Before the issuance of Government Regulation Number 33 of 2006, efforts to collect bad credit were carried out by the State Receivable Affairs Committee (PUPN). If not through a lawsuit, the procedure follows the following steps: summons, confiscation, auction notification, and sales through auction.

This change in regulation reflects the government's efforts to provide better legal certainty for banks and debtors, while increasing efficiency in the settlement of state receivables. With a clear understanding of the process of executing mortgage rights and applicable regulations, it is hoped that both parties can work together to achieve a more profitable settlement.
