In this final project, after the required data collection, analysis of analytical calculations and the use of the plaxis program to evaluate land reduction and time needed to achieve a degree of consolidation of 95%. Data obtained from analytical methods, plaxis programs, and field observations are then compared to getting a more comprehensive picture of the effectiveness of the use of PVD in the process of soft soil consolidation.

The calculation results show that with a decrease of 0.932 meters, soft soil without the use of PVD requires a very long time, which is 3824 days to reach 95% consolidation. Conversely, the use of PVD significantly speeds up this process, with a consolidation time that only requires 81 days. From this, it can be concluded that the use of PVDs is very effective in accelerating the process of soft soil consolidation.
